6:15 - 9:30 p.m. -- Informal Viewing: presenters do not need to be at poster
Saturday, April 16 -- Two Poster Presentation Sessions

Submission of an abstract to the APSA Annual Meeting affirms that at least one author must register for and attend the meeting if the abstract is accepted for poster or oral presentation. At least one author must be present at the poster during the scheduled presentation session. Presenters are not required to be present during all viewing hours.
Your poster must be no larger than 4 feet high by 4 feet wide. Two posters will be presented side-by-side on each board. Pushpins will be provided.
A poster is a visual presentation of your research or clinical project. Use schematic diagrams, graphs, tables and other strategies to direct the visual attention of the viewer, rather than explaining it using text as you would in a journal article.

Best Poster Awards will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 each. Members of the ASCI and AAP (including members of each Council) will judge posters on scientific novelty, quality and clarity of presentation. Awards will be presented on Saturday afternoon during Plenary III.
APSA, the ASCI, and the AAP offer $750 Travel Awards to select abstract submitters. For those traveling from distant institutions, APSA awards may be increased to $1,000. Authors who receive a travel award agree that they will register for and attend the APSA Annual Meeting and/or the AAP-ASCI-APSA Joint Meeting. A small number of top scoring abstracts submitted will be chosen for an oral presentation on Saturday afternoon, April 16. Presenters selected must be available at this time to present their work.
APSA is pleased to announce that several travel awards will be sponsored by APSA partner organizations: the American Association of Immunologists (AAI), the American Heart Association (AHA), the American Society for Nephrology (ASN), the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP), and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM). Awards from these societies will be presented to abstracts in their scientific or clinical fields.
Recipients of APSA Travel Awards should be aware of specific restrictions on what expenses can be reimbursed by this award. The following expenses can be reimbursed for through an APSA Travel Award:
Please note that the Annual Meeting registration fees and APSA membership dues are specifically excluded from reimbursement.
APSA is pleased to announce that we will provide $500 travel awards to attend the Annual Meeting in Chicago (April 15 – 17, 2016) to the three APSA Local Chapters that best promote APSA and the organization's goals of developing the careers of aspiring physician scientists. These awards are meant to encourage and support interactions between APSA national and local chapters (LCs). To be eligible for this award, your institution must first form an APSA LC by completing the application process (please visit the LC page, or email localchapters@physicianscientists.org with questions). Awardees will be expected to attend the Annual Meeting and give a 5 minute presentation about their Local Chapter’s activities. Applications are due by February 13, 2016.
